The Story
JASPER TAN
Former Marine. MBA. AI Architect. I build systems that don't just work — they dominate.
The Operating Principle
Most people think in problems. I think in systems.
A problem is a symptom. A system is the cure. When you understand how the pieces interact — the inputs, outputs, feedback loops, and failure points — you stop solving the same problem twice.
Five and a half years in the Marine Corps taught me that under pressure, the only thing that survives is a system built on clear principles, disciplined execution, and relentless optimization.
Build. Optimize. Dominate.
The Journey
2001–2007
United States Marine Corps
Sergeant — Aviation Maintenance & Quality Assurance
Enlisted weeks after 9/11 and rose from Private to Sergeant. Led up to 50 Marines at a time — 175+ across the enlistment. Pulled into Military Police and security duty under the Fleet Assistance Program when post-9/11 manpower ran short, then volunteered to extend my enlistment to deploy to Iraq, where I built the first HAZMAT program at Al Asad. The frameworks for decision-making under pressure, resource optimization, and team execution I built there still drive everything I do today.
2019–2021
University of Arizona
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Studied the intersection of technology and business strategy. Graduated with a lens for turning technical capability into measurable business outcomes.
